Dental SEO Marketing – Can it Bring in More Paying Customers?
Are you wondering if dental SEO marketing can help grow your dental business? Good question, I am glad you are here. On this page, I will talk about dental SEO, and explain why search engine optimization is a great marketing idea for your practice going forward.
Before getting into it, I want to state that you should never put all of your marketing eggs in one basket, and dental SEO marketing should be considered one piece of that puzzle, but a very big piece.
SEO For Dentists – Why Choose SEO over PPC
Search Engine Optimization is a tricky business. Most of the times the people that try their hand at SEO fail, then blame the industry and claim that PPC is a better choice anyway because the ads appear above the organic listings. While ads do appear above organic and map listings, that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
There are a lot of reasons why organic and maps listings dominate the clicks. Check out the image below, then we will dive into a little further.
Click heat maps show time and time again that ads are the least clicked places on a typical Google search. What do you click on? For me, even though I am an SEO guy I just always click on organic listings. Are you the same way?
I have asked numerous people about this before writing this. Every person I asked said that they never click on the ads, and always either click on a Google My Business listings (maps), or organic.
After a bit of research, the best explanation I could find for this is that people hate being sold to, but love to buy.
Let me explain. When people see ads, their subconscious screams “AD, they are trying to sell me something” (being sold to), while organic listings tend to make someone feel as though they are making their own choice through their own research (buying), which in a way is correct.
For me to go on and on about SEO getting more clicks vs PPC would just be like beating a dead horse, there is no need. Data directly from Google shows that the lions share of the clicks go to organic, and maps (when applies).
Moving On… What Dental SEO Marketing Can Do For Your Business
In this day and age, no one is using Yellow Pages. Ok, a very small percentage of old schoolers (sorry Dad) still try finding stuff in the Yellow Pages. The era of smart phones, tablets, and other hand held devices is upon us, and you either go with the flow, or get left behind.
When people need a dentist, they don’t get up off their butts and go dust off the Yellow Pages to find someone, they simply close Facebook or Twitter, and quickly Google city + dentist. Done.. Kaboom.. Results galore right at their fingertips.
Are you there for people in your city to find when this happens?
Since you are still here reading this paragraph, I am going to assume you are NOT there when this happens, and you want to do something about it!
